Geez the magnum is cheep. I went 53-7 being cheap as hell with that thing. Too many people use the grav gun instead of regular guns.

So far for me the game is great, physics are great fun, only problem is the lag can get pretty bad. (this is expected since the game was just released)

Yeah lag was bad in several servers but I did find others that were fine, I think it had to be the hosts. Grav gun was unusable in the lag but you could do serious damage with it on a good server. Just get in a small room with lots of tables and watch the bodies fly.

I hadn't played an all deathmatch server in a long time. It was fun, but I can't wait for the modders to give us some more maps and hopefully we'll get some other gametypes too.

So can anyone give me some details about HL2 DM? How many maps, weapons? I cut my PC off about 11:00 AM CST last night and it seems I missed it by about an hour (?). Now, I'm at school for the next 6-7 hours! Dang it! So a little bit of info about it would be nice. Thanks.

Has a lot of potential, pretty fun but is severely in need of more gametypes. TFC + gravity gun = ownage

Man that was sooo much fun. I havent had that much fun with a multiplayer in awhile. I played for close to a hour on lagg free server and had nothing but fun. It needs more weapons and more modes of play then it will be perfect. It actually doesnt feel like an after thought but they took some time to work on it.

I go by "Death by Toilet".

Yeah, I tried this out for a few hours last night. Kinda fun, if a bit limited and unbalanced (and I'm just realising how crappy most of Half-life 2's guns really are...). Still, it's a nice base to build mods off of, has anyone tried the idea I had about using the Mechmod in HL2DM yet?

i enjoyed it...mind you i was laughing more than caring wether i got killed or not, IMO the game was made for special ed kids and people with SEVERE A.D.D. so far there just isnt any space for strategy.
the flying toilet of death was great but i can see the humor going away soon. i hope they do add other play modes.

I finally found a decent server, it still lags a bit but its a dam fun game.

It was great, i killed people with toliets

However it is effective to use barrels to sheild from bullets etc. But the Real trick in the game is to learn how to catch thigns when they are thrown, and you can also 'push' an itme someone else is holding.

Id love to play this on a lan with a dual xeon server heh.
