Holy overape Batman! 4 freakin' Gigs? Your memory could leak all over the place and you wouldn't notice with those extra strength tampons.

Same here, except I use 1280x1024.

"On the multiplayer side, support will officially be raised from four to eight players, and four new deathmatch maps are planned for the expansion. Threewave Software has also been recruited to bring a new version of Capture the Flag to DOOM 3, along with four new CTF maps, so fans of the old-school CTF may find a little extra to cheer about on the multiplayer side."

sweet. i was hopin' for ctf in doom 3 instead of flatout deathmatch. cant wait for this, hopefully it will be done well (the mp part).

article, new info and 2 new screenies at gspy.

Regarding MP, I posted this in a similar thread as I'm too lazy to repeat myself:

If some of you all haven't played it since release of the game back in summer, you should really give it another shot. For one, the patch cleaned up alot of the stuff holding back the game (borked game browser for one). And now I can happily say that the game is experiencing a revival of people playing the game. I won't kid you and say it's anywhere near as much as some of the more popular FPS MP games out there, but it's getting better. Possibly people are getting bored with the standard MP games and are coming back to Doom3 and finding they like it? Hopefully when the expansion comes out in spring it'll bring even more life to the small, but ravenous Doom3 community...

I can't wait for the expansion. By the way, there are already a lot of servers that allow more than 4 players. I would say 6-8 player matches are common. The 10-12 player matches can get a little laggy for my tastes though. Still fun as hell (pun intended). Performance is also very good, although I do have a 6800GT. In linux I get 50-60 fps with occasional dips to the 40s the vast majority of the time. Here's the two new pics in case anybody's interested:

Yeah, I saw this availible for preorder at my local Best Buy. Seems you get a free shirt with it, as you did with the original Doom 3 preorder. Heh, aren't they kinda giving away the last boss with the cover though?
