Just got it yesterday (have xbox version) wanted to take advantage of keyboard and mouse.
Man it even looks better on PC than xbox.
runs smooth (2.0 not 2.0++) and plays great
Too bad not a lot of people know about it

I thought from the way the game looked that it was running on something like the Doom3 engine ( when you look at the models and graphics) but it's running on the Starbreeze engine which they are currently looking at porting over to the next-gen consoles(XBOX2, PS3)

http://www.starbreeze.com/engine.jsp Click on 'Jobs'

Got the timedemo working, had to record my own video 1st and name it, then type "timedemo name of vid" enter, oh, and you need to be in-game for some reason when you run a timedemo, if you do it from the Start Screen it keeps crashing, well for me it did

I picked this one up the other day as well. It is an excellent game. My only issue is with shimmering. I have a 6800 Ultra with the Extreme-G 67.02 drivers and there are certain levels in this game where the shimmering is horrible...probably more than with any other game I've played.

Hmm... Thought I was the only one. I haven't got far into the game but during the opening intro sequence I noticed some shimmering on the wall panel directly to the right of where Riddick is "seated" in the dropship.

Wow, looks like it is! This game just keeps sounding better and better

It lists the GL_extensions so it has to be. I dont think a d3d game would do anything like that.

I love OpenGL, its about time another game uses it

I just ran the Timedemo with the 71.20s and the 67.03s drivers, bit of a difference.

71.20 = 50.935 fps
67.03 = 59.106 fps

I am playing at 2.0++ and it is slow as heck ,I will give 2.0 a try and see how much better game play is,because right now it is not worth playing at 2.0++.

Got the game today. Thanks guys for the recommendation guys, it's a great game. I haven't enjoyed a game like this in a while (wasn't too enthused with Doom 3 though the graphics were great, same with HL2). This game was so well done, and I love how there wasn't really any hype over this prior to release (at least to my knowledge).

Well im done

I just finished up last night after pacing myself to and hour or so a night and while its not as long lived as id have hoped for its a total blast right to the last

ive now unlocked the directors commentary,this feature alone makes the game worth replying atleast one more time and i found myself re-glued to my monitor for another hour or 2 huntting out the starbreeze disks and listening with much interest as various dev's explain how things in game came tobe and how things were changed rearranged ect ect,this is an excellent feature one i hope more dev's will look at adding to there games,so Kudos to the dev's at starbreeze for including the feature

Im just looking forward to a release of an editor so i can have a mess with the game engine
