Default nvida driver + Fedora Core 3: problem not fixed

After having read and applied the command described in the stick post, I still have a problem with the nvidia driver (1.0-6629) with Fedora3.
The driver is working but the system hangs EXACTLY once every two startup at the login prompt.
The problem is the same when I boot in text mode only.

Any idea?
