The 2005 Formula One calendar. 19 races, the British GP was saved; China, rather than Japan, ends the season, and Turkey has a race:

Schumi to donate $10 mill to the tsunami victims:
http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/formul....asp?ID=110046 Sauber delays launch of 2005 car, out of respect for the victims: http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/formul....asp?ID=110013 Ferrari boycotting the French, British GPs? those races aren't sponsored by tobacco dollars anymore, and they'd probbaly like the revenue back. still races mean points, and Ferrari would probably do good in both races so it's unlikely that they'd skip them in protest. also, Fia may punish them further (by taking away points or fining them) for skipping the events. http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/formul...ng-formula_one F1 qualy system id still undecided. you think they'd might try to get a system in place well in advance of the season. if all else fails, they can always resort to rock, paper, scissors. http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/formul....asp?ID=110116 |

schumi likely to still dominate though I would love to see kimi, sato, button, alonso and co make a charge and make the field a little more competitive...

You are great doctor!

And I thought NASCAR was bad years ago when Jeff Gordon won everything. I couldn't stand following a sport in which one driver won 14 out of 19 races.

If 2005 starts off the same way 2004 went, I'll probably give up on F1 for the year and watch more NASCAR and Grand Am.
Sorry, but the parade is just getting to be ridiculous. |

Ferrari will race at England and France. points are points, regardless of how much it costs to run at those races.
http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/formul....asp?ID=111242 1st week of testing for 2005: http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/formul...ng-formula_one Button: I can win in Australia. hmm, don't think so, not at BAR, not with the team split, half hating you for betraying them, half trying to get you across the finish line. i think Button will be replaced halfway through the 2005 season, freeing him to join a Williams in 2006. http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/formul...ng-formula_one Schumi not retiring anytime soon? why not? he's got nothing left to prove, he's the best. he's the most popular driver in F1, but his success also makes him the most hated. if he still enjoys the competition (and judging by his exuberant celebrations when winning, he still does), then he should continue racing. http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/formul....asp?ID=111103 50 days and counting until the start of the season .... ![]() |

You know, after Brazil i swore i won't see an F1 race for at least a year but the closer we get, the more anxious i am to see the cars in action again.
The new Sauber C24 has raised a few eyebrows with its front wing. I don't agree that its that radical but... http://www.f1racing.net/en/news.php?newsID=74017 In the meantime, Michael's saying the same stuff again about McLaren (said them last year too). I think its natural to say a good word for the manufacturer that payed (Jordan) for his Spa debut: http://www.f1racing.net/en/news.php?newsID=74005 I would dismiss Williams anyway. This year they have no drivers. Frank and Patrick would probably be a better line-up. As for McLaren well, lets just say that last year i had a bet with a friend of mine as to which engine would have the honour to break first (under the new back then engine regulations) and i said that it would be a McLaren car but it would at least complete 10 laps before going up in smoke. Of course i lost because that ****ing piece of **** broke on lap 9 My attention is redirected to BAR and Toyota. Will Honda give Mercedes a run for its money (in terms of broken engines)? David Richards has warned them that they might not get the better results they expect this year. Will Toyota improve massively with the aid of Trulli and R Shumacher? This has to be their last chance, they've had a big push, they're running out of excuses, and if they can't deliver this year (and especially if Honda has a positive year again) they're in trouble. I don't expect Renault to be better than last year (of course they're going for the title or so they say), but i hope Fisichella will own the much hyped Alonso. And to think that FW had the chance to sign Fisi and preffered Webber instead makes me, oh well. We'll see.
