3D Related Display Error

Here's some basics about my system:

• Video Card: GeForce FX5600
• Driver Version: 1.0-6629
• Distro: Mandrake 10.0 Official
• Video Bios Revision: Couldn't get to the '/proc/driver/nvidia/cards/0' mentioned here.
• Processor: 1.3 GHz P4
• Mobo Model: No idea...

The problem can best be seen by looking at the attached screenshot of gameplay from Unreal Tournament 2004 (patch v3339). The type of 'messing up' seen there occurs in all different maps and under all different graphical settings. It ranges in severity from only a few small messed up areas to almost the entire screen messed up. This problem also occurs in Tuxracer, which I'm sure most of you are familiar with. I can see almost right through Tux as well as most of the terrain because of this issue. As a side note, I was using the same hardware & video driver but didn't have this issue in Windows, and this issue has not once come up in any other program other than UT2004 and Tuxracer, both of which are 3D games, so I assume it has something to do with OpenGL. However, the OpenGL screensavers don't have this issue (nor do any other programs I've run so far) so it could be something else. Any and all help is very greatly appreciated

P.S.: I've only been using Linux for about 3 days now, so I'm about as noobish as they come.

Wow....I guess a simple reboot was all that was needed. I'd tried rebooting the X Server (or whatever the name of the graphical display thing is) and had the same problemt but never actually rebooted the computer. Sorry!

What screen capture utility do you use? I have tried a couple, but neither works very well.
