Pair of BFG Geforce 6800 Ultra PCI-E. I love the fact they overclock the gpu in the factory and then warranty a overclocked product. it takes a scrotum to do that. I guess that's why they called themselves BFG. And since I don't like risking my dollar investment for a warranty killer in overclocking, I'll take all of the speed I can get. They even go as far as to say don't return it to the store in the box , we will handle your problem. How is that for keeping the middle man out for customer service.

Well if you got a Gainward 6800U Golden Sample, it would come at 450/1200 factory clock. And with my Gainward 6800GT GS, it's guaranteed to run 400/1100 and under warranty at that speed.

Had a Inno3D 6600GT - sold by a few online sites in the UK under their "own" value brands - mine never worked properly, thought the issue was cooling so installed water cooler but I messed up and broke the GPU.
Awaiting replacement - Leadtek A400TDH 6800GT 256Mb AGP from OcUK (on special at 205GBP). ![]()

Galaxy 6600GT
First one was the standard one and seemed to be a bit dodgy so was sent back (may have been my system setup at the time, no idea) Second time round I got the HDTV version and it's been running perfectly. Nice and cool/quiet, overclocks to 580MHz on core (585MHz = Artifacts, 590 = failed internal driver test) Was only 120GBP as well ![]() |
