I can't wait for this game. This game is also causing me the most anxiety. Quake 2 was what got me into multiplayer gaming. I got the Internet so I could play quake 2 on-line. Then when Quake 3 came out it was the only game I played for almost three years in a row... When I heard about Id software making doom I was excited because Id were the guys that make quake, and it was bound to be similar. I really didnít know what to expect, or did really much care. It was doom, which I had never played before. Doom could be what ever it is, was my thinking going into that title.. But now that quake 4 is coming it HAS to be done right. I love the quake series, which up until this point has been made by Id software. I hope Raven take note as to what makes quake good and doesnít stray from it. Things like

Fast paced multiplayer that doesnít reward camping in anyway.

Keep the original weapons. Sure they are simple, and there isnít many of them but they are amusing, well balanced, which make for great MPÖ It just wouldnít be quake if they didnít include the rail gun.

Original, or quake worthy, look and feel... There is just so much that could go wrong. It stresses me out thinking about how this game will turn out. ah well time will tell.

I really wish id wouldn't give Raven Quake 4. I want id to do it themselves if there's to be a sequel. I love the Quake series and I really hope Quake 4 doesn't ruin it.

It looks like both of the characters were added in, not just the one on the right. If I were to guess, I would say it was a bland looking picture so they probably added those two in to make it look like more was going on.

I would trust Raven with the game over id any day. They've proven themselves many many times over, all my favorite FPS's are Raven games. 'Cept HL2. Jedi Outcast remains one of the best shooters though, IMO.

I wouldn't go as far to say that Raven is better than ID (after all, all raven games are made on ID engines), but I will say that Raven makes excellent games and I don't think Quake IV could be in better hands.
