Default Problem with Nvidia-driver since 6111

When I install an the current drivers (6111 or 6629, I haven´t tested 6106, the download allways stopped after 5 minutes) my system (Suse 9.1 and Suse 9.2) freezes after some minutes and I have to restart.

Older Versions like 5336 work perfect, but they are too slow for Doom3. I have got a Geforce FX 5600 XT. Has anyone an idea why the latest drivers do not work? Is there maybe a bug in the newer versions or were important settings changed?

If anyone has an idea why the latest versions do not work, please post.
