I've seen that nvidia-settings recognizes my 2 monitors connected to a GEForce4 4200ti only if the multimonitor system is configured in classic mode (2 indipendent desktop on each monitor).
When using Xinerama mode (one desktop spread on 2 monitors) only 1 display is recognized so that I can change settings (such as color correction) only on the first monitor. Probably It happens because in Xinerama mode the system considet to have only 1 display. Is there any tweak to make nvidia-settings utility usable also on the secondaty monitor? |

Try using the --display option to specify a different X screen on startup of nvidia-settings. Likely the primary monitor is :0.0 and the other :0.1.

nvidia-settings --display :0.1
(nvidia-settings:13961): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.1 I think that the problem is the fact that xorg in Xinerama mode set only 1 display extended on 2 monitors but nvidia-settings configuration only affects primary monitor. |
