Default HELP!!! I just purchased a XFX 6600GT card...

....and I run FC3. The card should arrive in days.

I purchased the card because I wanted a card that has 2 DVI ports and decent 3D performance. I have 2 LCD panels.

I'm getting a little worried that the card won't work in a dual-head configuration with the "official" NVIDIA drivers.

Will I still be able to use the "open" NV driver?

BTW, I use the stock FC3 SMP kernel.

The nvidia driver should support it find if you read the docs well on how to set it up in case you have issues. The opensource driver doesn't suport multiple monitors.

I had heard that the official NVIDIA driver has issues running on an SMP kernel. Is this the case or am I mistaken?

Is there anyone successfully running SMP with the NVIDIA driver?

The NVIDIA driver should work just fine on SMP machines.
