i would just like to add that playing in sm2.0++ in riddick mode has the effect of quadrupling the resolution, hence the low fps(hes playing at friggin 6400 x 4800 basically)

i have a batch file that run all the demos at once . if you like to try it let me know .

as for CoR SM2.0++ i guess its just like FC with HDR .. it dosent show any improvment using SLI . maybe it wont benefit of the extra gpu or not optimized yet in the drivers .

& btw was CoR SM2.0 running at same settings ran with SM2.0++ ( i.e 1600x1200,0xAA,0xAF??)

And yes COR was run with the same settings on both tests

i dont have the the link right now , but i'll attach the file right here .
just change the extesion to .bat once you download it

you can edit it & tinker with it as you like (like changing res & disabling/enabling HDR)

Thanx on your tests did you set the AA/AF in the NV control panel, or in FarCry? I set it in FarCry. Aniso level 8, AA level 4. (I assume thats 4x/8x)

yes they were in-game . you may try forcing them as well & see if theres a differnece .
upon testing Pk:BooH i found out that forcing AA from CP on the ATi drivers gave me better performance than in-game so it could work in a similar way in FarCry although NV recommened enabling them within FC .

ok, heres the real question....

Can you really tell a huge difference between that and your old rig?

I know those are some impressive numbers, but...do you trully believe it was worth all that money?

I'm just curious cause SLI sounds pretty damn cool, but I'm not sure if I want to spend all that money on that or just build a whole new computer when the next generation of video cards come out.

Also, how much was the mobo and cards and where'd u get them?

I can definately notice a big difference playing at 4x/16x. On my 6800 Ultra rig I played all games at 2x/4x. 4x/16x was just too big of a performance hit to play games. Now at 4x/16x its just as fast (if not faster) than 2x/4x on my old rig. There are a few games I'm looking forward to in the next few months. Doom3 expansion, quake4 and especially Splinter Cell Chaos theory, those games look to be taxing on hardware.

As for the price.. the cards were about $520 each, with the motherboard being about $220.

I know its just a benchmark, and kinda silly, but my jaw nearly dropped when I saw 3DMark05 running. I'm just so used to it lagging around a 15fps, seeing it at over 30fps is a site to behold. I was also really impressed with Flat-Out, at 4x/16x it looks absolutely beautiful, and runs fantastic also.

SH64,
That batch file you gave me forces the game to be benched in HDR mode... which gives me artifacts at 4x/16x... is there a way to turn off HDR for the benchmark?

NM Figured it out.. benchmarks coming...
