Your missing my point. I never said that a game sucks if I can't play a game at 1600 x 1200 with max AA and AF on. I was just saying that if its still playable with those settings on I will use them because it makes the game look much better. If I have to drop my resolution a little and have no AA and AF on then thats fine. Its just that I rather not do it unless I have to.

Then it sucks to be you I'm afraid.

I guess you won't be playing Oblivion at all since it won't run as good as you want at the resolution you see at.

I had 17,000dpi in my head for some reason...dug around and found this. Interesting (especially at the bottom), but nothing definitive. I'm sure there's a better answer out there somewhere.

Well yeah I would like a play my games at a resolution like that to. Just because I can't doesn't mean that I'm going to stop playing games. I'm sure its the same with Sorrow.

As far as I know, resolution doesn't strictly apply to human vision in the same way it does to displays for a few reasons:
* The Fovea has a totally different sort of 'res' to the rest of the... is it cornea? I can never remember.
* We don't see things as points, we actually see shapes. There's a massive 'tree' structure behind our eyes that picks up various kinds of patterns.
* (Most importantly...) Our Brains fill in the gaps on pretty much everything. We don't have the fovea all over the cornea (?), but we may as well, as we saccade and remember what we see. The brain is pretty awesome like that.

Ridiculous DOES not have an 'e' in it. It comes from "ridicule" and has less than nothing to do with the colour red.
