Default Debian Sarge + nvidia driver = doesn't match

Dear helpers,

at first please excuse my bad english, but I'm a German.
I want to use Debian Sarge on a PC with a nVidia GeForce 4 MX Videocard. The install was clearly and I also installed fluxbox, xserver-xfree86 an so on. My Problem is, that the card just works when I use the vga-module. With vesa, nv or nvidia it doesn't.
There's also a second problem: dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 doesn't save my preferences - I must edit my XF86Config-4-File with vi(m).

Following the exiting lines out of the XFree86.0-Log

********************
(WW) NVIDIA(0): Mode pool is empty
(EE) NVIDIA(0): No modes remaining for display device CRT-0
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
(II) UnloadModule: "nvidia"
(II) UnloadModule: "ddc"
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

Fatal server error:
no screens found
********************

If you need the complete log, please say it!
The XF86Config-4 is attached.

Who can help me or give me a hint?

Thanks.

You haven't configured your monitor correctly:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Standardbildschirm"
HorizSync 121
VertRefresh 160
Option "DPMS"
EndSection

Look up the specifications for your monitor and then enter a HorizSync/VertRefresh range. Further don't use 8bit but 16bit but that didn't cause your problems.

The debian way of (re)configuring you monitor:
> dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 <

Now it works!!

The problem was in the section "Screen" which was not corretly configured.
But bow it works - I'm very happy
Follow the new XF86Config-4 for all the people who have the same or a similarly problem.
