everything I've heard says the MX300 is crap.

I'm all for the 500, and have never had these scroll wheel issues myself...or maybe one install...years ago...maybe...

And the 700 is just too much $

I'm also looking at the mx500. I've always liked mouseware and its intelligence. I don't like it in the ms intellipoint that i have to have a window highlighted to be the one closed when i hit the button assigned to close a window. mouseware it's whatever the pointer designates

Heh, well, I just got a bunch of logitech keyboards and accesories, right now I am working off of a Corless Elite Duo and a MX700 Cordless, all I have to say is WOW! I'm never going back to my MS keyboards or mouses. These things rock! Gaming is great and so is everything else.
