Good to hear you got that fixed, i'm not game to mess with the bios in my card. I've reinstalled the game again and applied the 1.3 patch but still get those same issues(pauses etc), guess i'll just have to put up with it. I heard that this problem is actually being worked on by nVidia and it looks like there will be a new 'official driver' coming out in maybe Febuary/March, so with a bit of luck it might fix the pauses.

ah the pauses, I experienced the same thing. You need to download riva tuner, and set the lower power 3d/performance 3d core/mem clocks to be the same. If you fiddle around with it, you should get a really stable system. Search around the forums for "lower power 3d". I hear this is due to either 1. a PSU not putting out enough on the 12v rail, 2. voltage not enough on gpu itself.

As a note, I didn't update the GPU bios - It was the chaintech vnf3-250 bios that made the biggest difference. I also updated that jpg in my last post, reflecting a 4 count run @ 415/1130. This is pretty much my sweet spot with stock cooling.

Nice score , btw, how does Far Cry play on your setup, do you get those pauses when you shoot explosive containers etc ?

I checked with RivaTuner and the standard 2D, low power 3D and performance 3D settings are all set to the same already

haven't tried shooting them yet. I've only played multiplayer with this setup. I'll have to play it some and I'll reply to let you know.

Nice just one question though, wouldn't you get better performance with the 1.3 patch ?

Probably would. Is 1.3 still available for download? Didn't see it anymore at the Ubisoft/Farcry website.
I may still have the patch in my shared docs on sig sys2. I'll have a look later.

Also I might mention I'm using the 67.66 beta drivers.
