Question GeForce 5900XT Molex Plug

HI, is there another way to check if the molex plug on my 5900xt is connected or not (aside from opening my case and inspecting it), If i don't connect the molex plug, what would happen? Will i have a dead card?

Default Re: GeForce 5900XT Molex Plug

If the card is not connected you will get an error message upon Windows startup. The card will not be damaged but it will run at a significantly reduced clock speed.
