I respect that.
Ok, so lets keep the one in Windows Forum (with the most views), and close the one in General Software.

Anyone else use Hijackthis to check their comp?

It's not a big deal and I know you have good intentions, thanks for understanding. I'll just merge the one in General Software into this one.

EDIT: I also pruned some of the posts just to clean this merged thread a bit more.

But yes, you cannot go wrong with Firefox (aside from some banking sites for example that demand IE).
I just remembered, I used to access my bank accounts on old Mozilla, I suppose if Mozilla supported my bank's site, Firefox should too.

Yes.

I run a few select programmes. Hijackthis, Adaware Pro, Adwatch, Spybot S&D, and SmartProtector.

As I said, I have no intention of installing something when I have been using I.E for so long with absolutely no problems what so ever.

If you answered no to any of these questions, you're up for a big surprise!
Not every person using IE is a moron who knows nothing about computers you know?

I use Firefox myself but when I was using IE I still had no problems.

Yeah, to each his own fellas. One can use IE without much trouble at all if they know what they're doing.

True, but I'm tired of removing spyware from clients comps. And when I got some last night I went on a rampage against IE.

Browse safely

I'm having zero problems with IE on XP Pro SP2.

Someone show me a site where I'll have problems (security or otherwise) with the latest version of Internet Explorer.

Don't get me wrong, I like Firefox too. But you gotta admit Microsoft has come a long way security-wise.
