Fedora Core 3 Login Screen Sleep/Power Off Problems
I would like to thank everyone in advance for any assistance they can provide with my problem.
My system is as follows:
AMD Athlon XP 2200
Nvidia GF4 MX 440 64MB graphics card (don't know the vendor)
512 MB Ram
Fedora Core 3 - Kernel 2.6.9-1.681
Nvidia driver version 1.0.6629
Sony Trinitron Monitor
The problem I am having is relatively minor but a bit of a hassle. At night, I log out of my account and leave my computer just sitting at the graphical login screen. Since installing the Nvidia drivers, I have found that my monitor doesn't go to sleep/power off properly anymore. Instead, it goes to kind of a black and white version of the login screen that is shifted to the right by about 1.5".
When I'm using my normal user account and lock the screen, the monitor sleeps and then powers off properly. The problem only seems to happen at the graphical login screen.
I have attached my xorg.conf file to this message. I've used an rpm to install the drivers and so I assume that this file is correct. I had a quick look and it seems okay to me.
I have also noticed this behaviour on Fedora Core 2 (same hardware as above).
If there's anything else I can provide to help correct my problems, please let me know and I will be more than happy to include it.
Thanks for your help,
