im sooo ****ing pissed with MSI right now....
i just installed my motherboard (msi k8n neo2) in a new case, hit the power button, nothing, tried again, nothing. checked all connectors...nothing. OMFG so i go on the laptop and fire up google. and turns out many others are experiencing this problem. so i figured i aint waisting a week messing around with msi rma department so fired off to newegg and ordered a abit av8 k8t800 pro motherboard. no more nforce chipset for me. why? problems with their own video cards. no more msi motherboard for me. why? BECAUSE ITS A ****ING POS.

The Abit board has temperature reporting issues but other than that it's been pretty reliable for me. You might get lucky and not experience the temp issue though since the newer BIOS revisions have fixed it for some (though not all) of the affected users.
The VIA boards are easy to setup and reliable, at least at stock speeds. |

I hated MSI after I ordered a new computer with some MSI board that was only for up to 2000+ processors and the company that sold it to me guaranteed it would work with the 2600+ in my signature. Obviously it didn't. The board didn't even support barton cores and it registered the CPU as a 700MHz Athlon.
So it's not really MSI's fault, but I hate them anyway. |

No circumventing the swear filter. You've been here long enough and should know better.

MSI has excellent forums to help with any problems you have. I recently purchased the MB K8N NEO2 PLATINUM MSI. I was able to go their forums and find an answer and fix to problems I was having. You need to learn patience young grasshopper.

heh same thing happend to me, and im guessing it was the same reason, it was my fault that mine didnt turn on
first i had the jumpers incorrectly configed... then i had the wrong P4 switch on it.. just cause you had one board doesnt mean that MSI is bad... its all luck |

Let me be the first to say: I LOVE MY MSI BOARD!
![]() I've had problems with every board that I've owned. MSI, to me, seems to have the least amount. |
