Wierd Problem

Okay, so I got this other computer, its a P3 system(socket 370 250W PSU). All of the sudden it doesn't work anymore. So I think its a dead CPU, since its a few years old, but I tried it on 2 motherboards and it did not work. Okay then, so I went out and bought a new Celeron 1.1 Ghz, now I tried it on both motherboards, and I get the same results. I get no error message, just nothing on the screen, I can hear the comp starting up the HD, but thats it. HELP?!?!

aww crud! I don't wanna buy another mobo. Dangit! eh, aww crap, I'll wait till I get another mobo to test then..

sad thing is, this happend in august and I still havent been able to replace the mobo. I have an xp1800+ that ive never used sitting around getting old while im on a p3 550

Yeah, certianly sounds like dead mobos.

dang that blows. Thing is, both mobos were workin' last week. Why would they die at the same time? oh well. P3 mobos aren't expensive.

same thing happend to me. I think I stabbed em when i was installing the heatsink. /me is retarded

LOL, that sucks. I never use any tools, just that static wrist thingy, rest is done by hands.

Don't feel to bad about it... I was stuck with a 486 for a good 3 years and when I finally upgraded to a brand spanking new Abit BH6 w/P3 450 I didn't understand how to get the brackets for the CPU to sit in their holes properly. So instead of doing it the right way which would be to pull the pins up before mounting the bracket and then pushing it through I tried to force it. Long story short: slipped screwdriver and a dead BH6...

Talk about retarded... At least I didn't make the same mistake twice!
