Newbie question I know.
I'm trying to dissable DEP so I can use later Nvidia drivers on my Athlon 64. Now I know I do this in the boot.ini file but I can't find it. When I do a search all I can find is the boot.ini.backup file..... please can anyone help... pleeeease ![]()

it's on your active boot partition. It will be hidden so goto explorer--tools-folder options-view tab and then tick on show hidden files.
Wallah! u should find it where you active boot partition is!

should it be in
C:\WINDOWS\system32 ? I was already showing hidden file I've now dissabled hide protected operating system files but still can't find it????? thanx for the help by the way.

You could also do the following...
Right click my computer and select properties, now click advanced tab then under startup and recovery click settings then click edit to edit the boot.ini |
