I have a Evga 6800GT on a Asus A8N SLI Deluxe and I have to say, SLI is a huge waste of money, look at the guys that got dual 6800ultras and now the 7800 Ultra will **** all over that setup. I will wait till december when they have a 512 MB card, and dual core is cheap then upgrade my San Diego 3700 to dualcore and better graphics card, while you guys with dual sli 7800GTX that spent 1000 dollars will be behind once again as you will still only have 256MB of ram to work with

Any reason you posted this in the SLI picture thread? Please keep it on topic.

And BTW, there will always be something faster about to come out...

So do you spend your time bashing people who bought a 340hp hemi Chrysler 300C when they could have bought a Chevy Cobolt? The ones that complain are the one with no money for SLI.

or maybe the ones with common sense? I could use the 600 I save by going with an ultra on something else. And I will still get superhigh framerates at super high resolution. Getting 150+ FPS versus 100 adds nothing to the gaming experience

You just proved my point...some people don't have to "save" $600.00- they have it to spend. You don't, therefore you condemn others who do to try to make yourself feel better.

Because when new games come out and you are dropping down to 30fp versus 60, there will be a noteable gaming experience difference

Not to mention that you can play with higher AA and AF now. There will be something added to gaming experience with:

1600x1200 0xAA 0xAF 100FPS
vs
1600x1200 4xAA 4xAF 100FPS

And? When you buy that 512mb card, it will be outdated in 6 more months, and everyone will be ahead of you.

Don't play the waiting game. There will always be something better around the corner.

And more ram makes a card faster? Show me the breaking news!
