Nice article. Is there usually any benefit enabling SLI on games that aren't already in NV's profile selection (such as Neverwinter Nights)?

I predict NWN will be vastly CPU limited. But I have found many cases where forcing SLI has produced performance increases. Warcraft 3, Playstation Emulation. Lords of Everquest, ect.

I'm surprised to see just how much games are cpu bound now... even with just 2 lowly 6600GTs... and A64 3800+... time for Intel and AMD to deliver some proper power to those SLI rigs!

Congrats ChrisRay, great posts!

Great work Chris! nHancer really helps.
BTW showing Min FPS should be a standard for every review.

The most we are going to see this year is FX57.

Great article and very informative, thanks for taking the time to do this. I wonder if you have a problem that I am having with my dual 6800GTs. In HL2 at certain times the frame rate will drop as if it is only using one card but if I do a quick save then reload from that save it will kick in SLI and I will be doing at least twice the performance. As an extreme example when you are unsuccessfully transported from Kliener's lab and end up outside. If I turn around and view the electrical structure behind the lab the frame rate is in the 20s but if I do a quick save and then reload I am at 100+. There are other instances where this occurs as well and it is kind of annoying since you never know when SLI is truly working or not.

That is most likely a caching issue... not an SLI issue. HL2 is notorious for causing lost frames and stuttering while it's caching graphics or audio.

So this is the notorious stuttering everyone is commenting on? Is there a fix yet?
