Exclamation New BIA VIDEO & maybe SDK

Check out the latest video for Brothers In Arms here

ftp://ftp.ubi.com/us/games/brothersi...sions_Maps.wmv

Also, Botman, a Gearbox dev, recently posted this in the official forums.

Quote:
Depending on how much can be modified with the SDK, it might be possible for someone to create a multiplayer mission that allows 2 players to spawn on the same team. The goal of this type of multiplayer mission would have to be the same as a single player chapter (kill all the guys on the other team). The AI would know how to handle this simple mission type but it probably wouldn't be very challenging from a multiplayer gameplay perspective.

I know it isn't confirmed, but good to hear nonetheless.

I meant BIA will be a better game in general. I expect to see a tdm/dm mod that allows more ppl to play too.

So then it will be a Generic FPS game, Woot! I rather stick with CoD then. BIA MP looks awsome, 4 players (2v2) with each player controlling a squad. Making a TDM or DM mode would remove the uniqueness from the game, I would rather see mod efforts going to a new style of MP since the engine will clearly support Controllable NPC Teammates.

Imagine an RTS Style MP, where the player is the general and he must order his units to capture or defend a point but his control is limited to directions, no direct control on how the team reacts on situations.

More control over your squad + authentic scenery and map layouts (they developers went to Normandy to get a feel for the terrain and used aerial reconnaisance photos from WWII for crying out loud) != a generic game.
