Default nforce2 A7N8X sound in win 98

Hi there!!!

I'm having major grief with the sound in win98 on my new A7N8X but only in windows98. When playing a wav or mp3 using windows media player, and sometimes in some games the sound "skips" - it doesn't pause, it just misses bits out. It seems fine under XP, but since the difference in 3dmark is 10090 in 98 and just over 7500 in XP I'd rather stay with good old 98

Has anyone else heard of this sound problem? Is there a fix?

geebus, thats quite a difference. RAM low? XP Pro where it shouldn't be? (Pro eats up more RAM by default)

Ahem, anyway.

nForce drivers really do suck on 9x, from what I hear. Unfortunately, I can't help you out there much.
