Thumbs up Getting Verizon Fiber Soon

Just got a notice in the mail that Verizon is digging up the streets for Fiber Cable

I'm gonna get the 15mb Down/2mb Up for $49.99. That cannot be beat Coming from 768 DSL that should be huge.

be interesting to see whats the effective rates..

2mbit up is generally nice to run a small ded server..

Hm, I wouldn't be so sure. I work for a fiber-to-the-home equipment provider, and we've got a few customers in the works in Indiana ... not sure where, exactly, but we were pleased that the bill preventing munis from offering died in the Indiana state house. (The same goes for other rural areas -- we're tending to work with munis to bring data/phone/video to developments, with our biggest installation currently in Jackson, TN.)

Thats great jAkUp you will be in heaven. I have a bud that has it in florida and he his like a baby now. He is able to host a Battle Field, MOH and Swat server on the go with ease. A home connection with 16 or more in a server is amazing. When BF2 hits you can bet we will have the first server up.
