Question nforce2 hardware mpeg2 decode with XvMC?

I read on the main nvidia site that the GeForce4 440 MX has the VPE (video processing engine) which is capable of hardware motion compensation and IDCT. Is this actually the case, and if so does the nforce2 chipset have the VPE capabilities as well?

I'm running Slack 9.1, XFree86 4.4.0. I've been playing 320x240 mpeg2 movies with xine using XvMC (libXvMCNVidia), and when I monitor the cpu load with asmon, it essentially reports an average load of 0%. I'm assuming this is either incorrect, or it is being done completely in hardware, which is what I want. Anyone know a good way to check?
