My son cannot wait for this game to come out. He will turn 6 in April and is hooked on all the Zelda games. It doesn't matter the graphics or how old. He just wants to play Zelda. He even has a little wooden sword painted blue on the hilt like Link's. He insisted that it be painted blue.

Is your son able to finish the games? I've never played a zelda game but arent they hard and require puzzle solving? would be cool if he could.

Nice trailer, and since it begins where the old one ends you can probably even link them togeather into a big super-trailer . Looks good, nice to see my Gamecube will be getting SOME use after RE4. Interesting that you'll be able to on a boar as well as a horse, and the riding combat looks fun as well. Wonder if that wolf at the end means anything...

Hmm, honestly, does the GC use some sort of pseudo-shaders or other complicated post processing effects? Will this just look like a glossy DX7 title?

It has shaders in a sense, although they aren't comparable to how shaders in PC graphics cards work. It's capable of some nice effects though, RE4 has the best looking heat haze I've even seen in a game (in fact, it has a lot of effects that are the best I've ever seen in a game).

Take a look at Metroid Prime Echos 2, damn near rivals many games out for PC. Glossy are not it will look great if a step above Windwaker.

I was 8 when I beat my first Zelda game, Link to the Past.

This has to be the only Zelda game I've actually looked forward to since then.

BTW, UDawg, pick up The Minish Cap for GBA, your son will love it. Hell, if you liked Link to the Past, you'll love it.

Heh, I was a Zelda fanatic when I was a little kid too. The original Legend of Zelda was probably my most-played NES game. I was in heaven when Link to the Past came out. I still play it regularly to this day.

And I can't friggin wait for this game to come out. Ocarina of Time was a masterpiece and this looks to be the sequel we've been waiting all these years for!

I don't own a gamecube, but I honestly think I will buy one for this game. You guys know I'm a zelda fanatic.

BTW Zelda Minish Cap was great. I just beat it.
