Hi all,
upgrading from 6169 (i get excellent perfomance and stability) World of Warcraft in opengl trough Cedega becomes very very slow and there are some problems with textures (sky and loading screens). Using a Ti 4200 Anyone having this problem too ? Any idea how to fix ? Thanks Fabio, Italy Last edited by chareos; 03-13-05 at 11:16 AM. |

How did you get it to run at all btw?
When using the -opengl switch, WoW is unable to initialize the renderer. Code:
cedega -debugmsg +err -- TransGaming_Drive/Program\ Files/World\ of\ Warcraft/WoW.exe -opengl fixme:keyboard:X11DRV_KEYBOARD_DetectLayout Your keyboard layout was not found! Using closest match instead (German keyboard layout without dead keys) for scancode mapping. Please define your layout in windows/x11drv/keyboard.c and submit them to us for inclusion into future Wine releases. I have the exact same behavior. I used the 66.29 drivers before and everything seemed to work fine. With the 7167 driver:
* the initial load screen getting streched and distorted in the top right corner. * The sky flickers between colors, it looks like lighting all the time. "Hey, look they added weather...no, no they didn't". Werid to have this kinda regression huh? Anyone have any ideas on the settings to modify in NVIDIA driver or WoW? |

im also having terrible performance problems with the new drivers when with the 6629 drivers everything was fine. I also tried to patch for the drivers listed in the update but that didnt help. only solution i know that works is to switch back for now and i guess wait for an update.

Same issue here. The solution for me was to keep 7167 and drop back to cedega 4.2.1 without opengl, I get better performance this way as opposed to 6629 and keep cedega 4.3.
OT: I think cedega 4.3 has a really bad memory leak, which is/also part of the performance problem. |
