I'm really thinking of returning this, maybe sell it and get something else. I'm leaning towards God of War, since DMC3 let me down a bit. It's really not as good as DMC1 even if it's much better than DMC2. My brother hasn't tried BIA yet, don't know if he will. Maybe he'll like it more than me.

maybe, or you could run the game, go into the options menu, go to performance, and then set HDR to off. but that'd be too easy, right?

Is CoD 2 built on a new engine? The Quake engine has run it's course IMO.

Two simple questions:

1) HDR to all VGAs???

2) Is real HDR or just "bloom effect"???

Yes, it's an all new engine developed in house by Infinity Ward. PC Gaming has a big write up on it this month. The screen shots look AMAZING. Definitely as good looking as Battlefield 2 if not better.

They mention they will be hiring "famous" hollywood names to do the voice acting as well... Could be sweet!!

1)Yes , but thats not really HDR .

2)Not really . its just kind of bloom or "soft lighting" as they call it . it dosent look good & it takes more performance for nothing .
its just like a dreamy look for a WWII tactical shooter

anyway i just got the game & i'm so disappointed with its graphics & performance .
as for gameplay its not bad but certainly not tactical as good as SW:RC .

I've been stuck at home since Saturday and will be here until next Tuesday night, so I have nothing to use except my mom's POS Dell 4600. I miss this game and want to get to what everyone keeps talking about.

Do most of you play with HDR on or off?
