Got about ~15fps at that res taking those screenies with 16xaf

if i play at 1280x960 without the AF it gets about ~45fps average, with everything high.

And seeing your system is better than mine, i'd say yes.

But then again that depends on what you'd call "decent"

Famous last words. Take it easy with that credit card, buddy. That's a bad attitude to have.

The screenshots I've seen so far are pretty bad...I hope the gameplay is worth it because $50 per game is really starting to sound a lot less desirable. Republic Commando is great but not very long and I honestly can't see myself playing through the entire game again - I'm not seeing anything that would suggest this game is different.

I'm getting both too! I have $40 in Best Buy Reward Zone certificates burning a hole in my pocket from my laptop purchase!

Those screen caps are disappointing though! Doesn't look anything like the pics that I've been seeing in PC Gamer. The pics in PC Gamer didn't look quite as good as Doom 3, but there were certainly more detailed textures and more shader and bump map effects in the screen prints in PC Gamer. I'm guessing they must have found the game was too taxing on current hardware and toned it down a bit?

Well just for a test, I turned off HDR (suppose to make the game look better isnt it?) and well the game looks alot better with it off... Im talking its close to the original screenshots shown. Everything is bolder and the color just looks alot better, I guess HDR in BIA is different then FarCrys. Its pratically the opposite, where FC looked alot more alive, in BIA everything looks bland with it on and it doesnt even have the nice little light tricks FC had.

Interesting...is it possible to get some screens of the game w/out HDR from you?

This game looks like CoD with bloom. Not only that, I think CoD:UO looks better than some of those pics. Time to fall back on the ol' "graphics aren't everything" maybe.. However, I would expect a little more from a fps in 2005...

Since AA doesn't work, Im running the game at 1600x1200 now...

I can't get any of the early parts that I showed before because the game has a single checkpoint save system, if I start a new game I lose my current progress.

YAY for console port, so much BS from them about making each version seperatly. This is 100% an Xbox port.

Holmes, your right, COD does look better then this. I think it even supports more characters on screen at a single time, BUT I like this gameplay alot more. Its more realistic and makes you think ALOT about what you need to do. I still love COD though.
