Same here with same GPU : GeForce2 MX Integrated. And X freeze at the same point :
(--) NVIDIA(0): MMIO registers at 0xblablabla.

Try with Version 1.0-5336 ( you will probably had to use an "old" 2.6 kernel ) : it's the last one which still works on my box.

First try with 5336. If it does not build, you will have to use an older kernel. I don't kown fedora but maybe you can use the FC2 kernel. Else you will have to build a kernel from kernel.org.

I have the same problem when installing the 1.0.7167 driver on my computer. When I start X (startx or by using kdm), I only get a blank screen and my computer hangs.

I'm running Debian Sarge with a 2.6.8 kernel, CPU AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2400+ @ 2.01GHz, 512 MB RAM (shared with video memory), ASUS A7N266VM with NVIDIA GeForce2 Integrated GPU (Total Memory 32MB, 32MB Video, 62MB AGP).

I need some info about how to fix this problem, because the generic driver nv is not enough for me.

I attached my nvidia-bug.report.log.

Thanks.

Thank you for your bug reports, we've been able to reproduce the X startup hang on an Asus A7N266-VM mainboard with GeForce2 Integrated Graphics. We hope to address this problem in a future driver release (I do not have an ETA, please use the 1.0-6111 driver release or the XFree86/Xorg nv driver for now).

and the installation doesn't complete.
