Oh well I got it wrong, I assumed GTX is new name for Ultra but here will be still Ultra. The picture of G70 range are now very clear, here will be FOUR Geforce 7800 versions but three versions will be available at launch are Geforce 7800, 7800 GT and 7800 GTX all based on 0.11 micron then higher end Geforce 7800 Ultra based on 0.11 or possible 0.09 micron will release at later date.

I think Geforce 7800 Ultra clock speed could be as high as 550MHz, same speed as RSX.

Check the 9800Pro score with 128MB @ (380/680MHz). It's still ahead & by little margin due to the memory speed difference mainly. (730 Mhz / 680 Mhz) * 20 fps = 21.5 fps +-

Again, summarizing: Core speed is very very important, but memory bandwidth is a must for very high resolution with FSAA/AF smooth gameplay.
I doubt that very much. I think the 9800 beating the 66GT has very little to do with memory bandwidth and more to do with FC just liking ATI cards more. An X800P will beat a 68GT at 1600x1200 4xAA 16xAS and that has absolutely nothing to do with mem bandwidth.

I think Ati has a 32 piper ready, but ain't releasing it if the G70 is 24 pipes max.

(but maybe Nv has a G70 32 piper in their sleeve too, but ain't releasing it if R520 is only 24 pipes.
They are playing poker )

Little difference with FSAA/AF: http://www.xbitlabs.com/images/video...1600_candy.gif

X800Pro : 475 MHz * 12 pipes = 5700
6800GT : 350 MHz * 16 pipes = 5600

both cards may have same shading speed.

& Same result, little difference, but 6800GT a little ahead now without FSAA/AF: http://www.xbitlabs.com/images/video..._1600_pure.gif

& We all know that ATI's FSAA/AF has been a little faster, maybe due to cheats, but that's not the point.

Also, the point isn't wich card is faster, the point is that memory bandwidth is a must for very high resolution gameplay with FSAA/AF, & the fact is that as we've read here at the rumor hill, next nvidia card may have only 1.2 GHz memory, a little jump from from 1.1 GHz of the 6800U.

I think that everbody who is going to expend such amount of money in the next gen cards, is expecting to play in HDTV resolutions with full FSAA/AF working. Therefore, memory bandwidth is a must !

Enjoy....

The g70 specs seem to be legit, but there is a strong reason to think nV has another version of it thats clocked higher and has more pipelines too just incase the r520 is faster then what these leaked specs have.

Also there is a good chance the g70 has already been migrated to .09u.

The r520 there is one spec sheet out there that is very close to what it has, but the drivers for the r520 are still not up to par and won't be for quite a while.

Really? Well I clicked Contact Us on the website and it mentioned that it born in February 2005. That 3 months old now.

I just checked their domain registration which was in January. So yeah, the site coming online a month or so later sounds about right.

* 512MB GDDR3 at 1400MHz

& it scores around 7800 points in 3DMark05.

I think it isn't good cause, the 6800Ultra scores around 5000 points. So, where's the double perf ?

I also think that clock by clock, the chip is slower, cause:

7800 / 500 Mhz / 24 pipes = 0,65 points per pipe per clock cycle (for the G70)
5000 / 400 Mhz / 16 pipes = 0,78 points per pipe per clock cycle (for the 6800U)

Also, the X850XT scores around 6000 points, so:

6000 / 520 Mhz / 16 pipes = 0,72 points per pipe per clock cycle (for the X850XT)

And about the ram running at 1400 Mhz -> 1400*256/8 = 44.8 GB/s (not bad, but still not enough for my personal needs).

I hope this isn't true, cause, the chip looks less efficient that previous generation as the numbers say.
dude, that is the 7800gt, not the 7800gtx(or maybe even just a plain 7800)
that will have only 16 pipes, and it will cost like $400.
The gtx will have 24 pipes and get more than 8k in 05
