G70 will be native PCIe, SLI support of course, AGP version is also expected. Core speed will be increase from that of the 6800U to around 450 to 500MHz, while memory clock will be in the region of 1.4GHz. The initial cards will have 256MB GDDR-3 memory and 256bit memory bus. The performance will be similar to 6800GT in SLI setup. The card will also use dual slot cooling. It will be priced above that of the 6800U but cheaper than the 6800U 512MB(849 USD). However the price of the 6800U 512MB is going to have a significant drop when G70 is available. About the mysterious G80 or NV50, nothing else is clear at the moment except it's on 90nm process.
Hmmm...I read a few weeks ago that NV is going to release G70 in the end of April...i hope it will have at least 24 pipes too and performance will be very close to r520...
More interesting is the Fall refresh from NV which is expected to be much more powerful than G70...It is probably real competitor for r520/r580
About G80 i think that it will be the same architecture as G70 with changed process(110nm->90nm) 32 pipes and higher clock speed(like r350->r420)....Imo G80 will be the fastest Gpu until SM4.0 GPUs will start...

PS.WGF1.0=DX9.0c???

Exclamation Re: G70 & G80 Specs to come! Help need more Info...

I still beleve that the G70 should be at E3 show (May 15) as the same with ATI R520 as well.

But both of these cards will not make it to stores till some time in June?

G70 for certain will be at E3, r520 is a bit underwraps but a good chance.

The g70 will most likely hit stores fast, looking at the yields of the nv40's nvidia won't have any problem producing these cards. ATi on the other hand just have to wait and see it all depends on thier clocks if they try to push it like they did with thier r420's and r480's they probably will run accross the same supply issues.

but I thought NV is going to play the wait and see game this round to adjust the clock speed etc, no?

well they might but they do have to get something about the mid ranges out due to the x800xl

But depending on ATi's next card if it is the r520...

Also at E3 its probably going to be shown off behind closed doors.

Thats hard to say because E3 is for the people and the Sony PS3 is going to be there Sony PS3 has cut down GeForce 7 hardware in it, and still over a year away from store's in noth America!

http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=2010&s=1

``......None the least, we heard that NV50/G70 is a dual-core monster with 32 pipelines and is based on TSMC 90nm process technology. ATi R520 is also 90nm based and contains 32 pipelines. The reference cooler design for NV50/G70 looks huge with 4 copper heat-pipes and a large fan......``

????Does it mean G70 is DUAL-CORE GPU??????

really dual core??? or is it just modular additions of a quadblock? to make it 32 pixel pipelines (ie 1 quad unit x 8)???

Well, according this info from vr-zone G70 is dual-core gpu...They report that NV have samples of G70...But i thought that G70 and G80 will be single core...

dualcore doesn't make sense in GPU as the processing technique and computational algorithms are already highly parallel in nature in order to cranch high fill rate and frame rates. What is it so hard to understand?? GPU has been parallel since the days of Voodoo era.
