I thought the G70 was a refresh part. So what's the problem?

Hmm... What is 6800 Ultra's memory bandwidth? Wasn't it over 30GB/sec. already? Mebe I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

It all about rumours so now the fact it the next generation, not a refresh and also it not going to be using 0.11 micron technology as I thought but it will using 0.09 micron technology instead.

the pixel pipeline has been tweaked quite significantly...particularly the old penalties that were there when text ops were required are now gone from what I understand

what does that mean? better performance with anisortropic filtering and combined with new Intellisample...faster performance with AA and AF

Yes 6800 Ultra used 35.2GB memory bandwidth, it the same amount used on RSX chip.

The new intellisample maybe more efficient by the looks of it ie, the bandwidth might be used more efficiently.

Of course when there are problems getting volumes of 1.6ns memory modules..imagine even lower rated ememory. So thats probably why the memory is NOT clocked higher...because they cannot find none!

Hmm, G70 suddenly became a lot more interesting.

I really hope the inq is correct.

it's still 110nm according to the leak

if it was 90nm I would expect a hell lot more on the core clock
