I did it. I managed it on veteran without cheats, and I think I had a heart attack or two getting it done. At the very least, my blood pressure surely reached dangerous levels

Man, that was no joke.

Oh, and, OWA, good luck! If you want to be a man about it (or is that panicked child?), do it on Nightmare.

Heh, I guess I shouldn't mention that I played on easy huh?

You'll never believe the RoE review by Maximum PC. They gave it a 5!! I couldn't believe it. IIRC, PC Gamer gave it an 8.

I agree. It's just the last boss I had issues with.

I'd say it's adequately difficult on veteran. Just about right. Then, at the end, bam! F9 starts getting a real workout.

So Maximum PC didn't like it, huh? I suppose they played it on a Radeon 8500 or something.

I play the game once and did't like it,but I loaded it up again after I bought Doom3 ROE,and played D3 again all the way though and I think I was a little harsh on it because the second time around I enjoyed the game and it plays great on the 6800ultra I was playing at 1600x1200 2Q and 8 aniso and it ran smooth, unlike HL2.

I'm late to the party. I've been playing ROE the past couple of days and I gotta say it's a total blast. Whee!

I'm in the middle of ROE now and I think its one of the best single person games I've ever played I liked Doom3, and this is even better

Oh, and I picked up HL2 when it was on sale at CompUSA for $19.95. While it was a fun game, I liked Doom3 much better. I had a much harder time following the story line in HL2. Sometimes it didn't make sense. Also, graphics, while nice, don't come close to Doom3. I was very disappointed with the ending part too. It looked cool, but I was expecting to go to the alien world like HL1, but didn't get to go

HL1 and Opposing Force rocked
