Hi there,
I just wanted to mention that the "All mplayer shows is a blue box" problem is still around. It is still random. I can play 100 videos in a row, and then all I get is blue output (for anything using xv, including xine). Closing and restarting X resolves the problem, but it would be nice to be able to do it without the restart (or not at all). After it happens, I can continue to use x11 output in mplayer, but lose the ability to scale. If nvidia is not aware of this, I can certainly supply all the necessary info for a formal bug report. Since this has been happening since 5xxx, I figured they probably are aware of the problem (may even be an xorg or xvmc problem, who knows). Just don't drop the ball. Thank you for your time, Frank Russo |
