Default Enermax Noisetaker Series 470Watt?

Hey guys I am getting parts for my soon to be built system. The system will be a Nforce4 Board, AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 939 SSE3 CPU with 2GB of ram, Geforce 6600 GT ,2 300GB SATA Hard Drives, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS, 56k Modem, Flash Card Reader, Floppy Drive, 1 DVD Rom Drive and 1 DVDRW Drive and a Fan Controller with 4 Case fans.

I already got a brand new Enermax Noisetaker Series 470Watt ATX 12V v2.0 Power Supply. But I am starting to worry that this may not be powerful enough. Should I keep this power supply or sell it and get a bigger supply like the 600 Watt version?

Model
EG475P-VE (24P) Noisetaker Series 470Watt ATX 12V v2.0 PSU

I just want to make sure its powerful enough for the next few years. Because down the line when I add a more powerful Video Card I want to make sure my power Supply will be ok.

Thanks for your help.

Should be plenty for your present build and has all the connectors you need.

In all honosty, I would consider the OCZ Powerstream instead. I have gone through about 3 Noisetaker PSU's

But I want a very low sounding PSU. What kind of problems did you have? I was told that Enermax is one of the best.

I had one that just died, and 2 kept telling me that my 6800 Ultra was not receiving enough power.

So are you saying a 470 Watt is not enough for a Geforce 6800 GT?
It sounds like I maid a bad move buying the EG475P-VE (24P) Noisetaker Series 470Watt ATX 12V v2.0 PSU! What would you recommend that is much better but make almost no sound?

Its enough. I just wish you would make decision by yourself then ask members about every item u have purchased or are going to purchase. I really don't think you would make a good manager or were in a post that required to make decisions on the spot. You would debating it for days and asking other people too.

I have that PSU and I run a Athlon64 3200+ with Geforce6800GT OCed. That PSU has more than enough power for all your needs until you want 2x 6800Ultra in SLI, then 600w is worth the extra cost. If you overload that PSU, it will shut down, if you under power the video card, it will warn you, either way, you will get warning long before you damage something.

I've had an Enermax 431W (EG465P-VE) for like 3 years now. I use an overclocked Athlon XP right now, oc'ed 6800GT, 2 HDD's, 2 optical drives, 6 case fans, Audigy 2, usb mouse/kb, etc. and never ever had a single problem.

And I wouldn't be so keen on OCZ's PSU. They're not perfect. In a Maximum PC test, the OCZ was one of the PSU's that dropped current more than considerably after a voltage surge in the outside current, whereas the Antec NeoPower still stayed within acceptable limit.
