Here we are 24 hours later... and they have not replied to my email. I also found out that I am not legally obligated to send them the misshipped game back.

Does this game use starforce? I was just reading elsewhere that it did. I guess I'll install it anyway but it is a little disappointing, if true.

From what I have been reading... it does sadly.

I am sure there isn't enough space in the world to hold pics of all ads... I hated the ad placement in SCPT... I am sure this one is at least 10 times worse.

The only one I've seen so far is the AMD 64 one in the menu. I've just started playing around with it though. It does indeed use starforce.

They did a great job of improving performance like fivefeet8 said. I'm now able to play at 1280x1024 but I still get some dips into the 20s. Running their timedemo, my avg was 30 with mins in the 20s and highs in the 40s. Still, for a slow-paced game the 20s don't seem as bad as it normally would.

I didn't get the PC version, but the Xbox version is great.
I figured I would get it on Xbox since the other two Splinter Cell's I have are on my Box.

This game is a step above the others, imo. Now, time to go play some more Splinter Cell.

Heh. My brother plays the Xbox version on the TV in the living room. Comparatively, the Xbox version looks almost as nice as the PC version. Without all the extra graphics options of course. Runs smooth too, but that's granted considering it's running at a much lower resolution than the PC version is on my Computer.

Uhm, question : In Night Vision mode it seems there are some dark(er) horizontal hairlines at midheight intertwining the greenish NVG hub linings. Is this supposed to be part of the NVG hub or is it mild artefacting ?

Also, the AMD adds are numerous in the level after the boatlevel. A little annoying but i can live with it. The chewing gum add is imo cool though.

Ah well, Calorie Mate is constantly in MGS3, so i guess we'll see more advertising in games in general.

What about stupid starforce ? if you look the forums alot of people cant even start the bloody game. Very smart movie ubisoft by putting a protection that does more harm then good. Whats worse buying a game that screws up your computer by preventing it even to start ?
