no cursor shadow

Hi,
I'm using FC3, nvidia's driver version 1.0-6629 for x86_64 and a 6800gt graphics card (asus) and I haven't been able to get the cursor shadowed. I mean, it's explained everywhere how to enable the shadow (CursorShadow "true" in xorg.conf) but it isn't simply working.
My Xorg.0.log looks good; there's an entry that shadowing is enabled, no errors.

I've read all the nvidia readme's and there's also nothing special to change ever since. I'm just wondering if there's anyone else getting screwed by this shadow problem. Thanx.
