What's the difference 6600 and the gt model.I'm gaming on my window box with a 9800 ati card. Now the card is o/c and runs on a amd64 which is a nice combo for what i'v tested.I'm new to linux until a find out how to make it all work on a backup pc I'm not going to touch my main gaming machine. As for cedega I'v join it to download it just have not gotten to that point but post i see sure don't look that good to install and run.

A 6600GT would probably beat your R9800 most of the time (well, in linux it would be a severe beating most likely).. To me this card is the sweet spot for price/performance. Of course if you can afford the pricier cards, more power to you!

Yup, I've got a 6600GT (Galaxy, as seen on the site adverts) AGP. The difference is clock speed between this and a 6600. But it is enough for me to get 55FPS on Doom 3@1280x1024 which is good enough for me!
