Default problems with nvidia 1.0.7174 and Xorg

today I switched from nvidia 1.0.6111 to nvidia 1.0.7174, but now I have a mystery error. If I try to start my Xorg I get the screen twice on my display. At first it will being displayed from the top to the middle and at second the same screen will being displayed from the middle to the bottom of my display. How can I prevent that? One screen is enough for me.
I have running the kernel 2.6.11 on an AMD64-system. Related sections of my xorg.conf are:
Section "Module"

Load "dbe" # Double buffer extension
    Load "type1"
    Load "freetype"

# Load	"synaptics"

What do I wrong? If I switch from nvidia driver to nv Xorg is working. Additional Xorg worked with nvidia 1.0.6111.
Any hints?
