I use debian sarge (testing) 2.4.27-2-686-smp. I have installed:
* kernel-source-2.4.27 (version 2.4.27-8)
* kernel-headers-2.4.27-2-686-smp (version 2.4.27-8).

The result of "lspci" is "0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV18 [GeForce4 MX 4000 AGP 8x] (rev c1)".

Please, can anybody help me?

Pentium IV 2.8 GHz HT; ASUS P4S800; RAM: 512 MB; HD: 80 and 120 GB.

What state is your kernel source in currently? IIRC, for a 2.4.x kernel you need to go under it and do a configure and a `make dep` before the nvidia driver can use it.
