Any chance this will be able to run on a 6800GT at 1680x1050 or not?

I can't run at ultra w/o lagging. I use high w/ whatever 4xAA and whatever AF is default I guess

The problem is, the lights are too bright!
with all the light you can see the terrible aliasing that's in the D3 engine.
Would you mind showing a picture of a zombie or something, big chance the horrible cone head (whoever thought of giving the heads of characters 5 polys should be fired) will be even more evident.

I can see an "improvement" in picture four, but that is ONLY because of the bump mapping, the light is brighter on the pos. edge so the feeling of a bump is more evident.

And picture five shows light on objects that shouldn't really be there.. you see the big TL light hanging from the ceiling and it brightens the texture on an object above it.

Converting most operations to fp16 should give it a decent speedbump to counter the (possible) extra calculations... but whatever.. d3 is so dead..

Umm, aliasing has nothing to do with the engine. Every game will have aliasing by default. That's why ANTI-aliasing was invented.

heh, first - doom 3 was too dark, now it's too bright... well, you can adjust specular highlights with my utility, np!

BTW. remember... this mod uses per-pixel normalization (better vector precision), while default technique is based on Cube map normalization (limited by size). Have you ever thinking that Doom 3 lights range and specular highlights are possible limited by default technique?

yeah, sure...

Few benches...

63fps = without mod 12x10 + aa 4x/af 8x + hq (all maxed in doom 3)
58fps = with mod 12x10 + aa 4x/af 8x + hq (all maxed in doom 3) + Ultra quality specular (RFL) / all performance options (doom3tuning)

I like it Tertsi. Runs well on my system at 1600x1200 with 4xAA/8xAF.

If you dont care about Tertsi's work or the game. That does not invite you to come in here and criticize his work and the game.. He's just trying to enhance experience for Nvidia users and I cant see a thing wrong with that. So please leave these opinions at the door. There are plenty of good places to discuss your opinion of the Doom 3 game. We have an entire forum dedicated to it.

ouch, the rest of the screens looks good but lets not get plastic with peoples skin ok.. there already is a farcry, hehe..
think the original specularity on human skin looked better..
