I happily run RH8.0 Linux on my computer (IBM NetVista A30p (8310-krg). with the original doiver for the video card no problems occur - but if i switch top NVidia's ,the computer does not power down when i order it to shut down - it just ends with a Power down message and nothing happens - has anyone hit this problem before ?
spec can be found at: http://www.pc.ibm.com/support?lang=e...51&Submit.y=10 if i restart the computer without X set to use the NVidia drivers it shuts down as expected |

Well, nvidia's driver doesn't play well with the module apm, so it simply disables it when it gets loaded...
in your shut down scripts you can simply load the module apm and start up apmd... - r0gu3 |
