Default MapOSD3ToNV on Linux driver?

While searching for a solution to upgrade my video drivers past the default v28.46 that came with my laptop (with Windows), I found that in order to get power management working properly with later drivers, I needed to set an INF key called "MapOSD3ToNV" to "2" due to some weird issues with my video card (Toshiba Satellite 5105-S501, GeForce 4 440Go 32MB). Otherwise, the monitor would not turn on when coming out of standby/hibernate.

I'm encountering the same problem now with the Linux drivers. After resuming from standby or hibernate, the monitor stays off. A quick text search does result in the string "MapOSD3ToNV" being found in nv-kernel.o, but I can't seem to figure out how to change its value. If anyone knows how to change this value, please respond. Thanks.
