Default Doom 3 quality mod (3rd party) for ATI and XGI cards

click here to read more information about 3mood for NV4x and NV3x cards!

I did "universal" ARB2 path (texture indirections workaround for ATI cards) for ATI (R3xx and R4xx) and XGI (Volari) cards but I don't know does it really work. This only add High Quality specular in Doom3. Also I don't know anything about performance (no performance addons). So, ATI and XGI card's owners... lets beta test it!

Please, post your suggestions, comments and feedbacks here!

Download Interaction.vfp for ATI and XGI cards

(copy this file to 'Doom 3/base/glprogs' directory and your ready to go

I haven't tested for very long so far but it does appear to work. First shot is without the mod, the 2nd is with it.

Okay, using the timedemo, I get 37.5 with the mod and 43.7 without it.

tertsi wanted some more timedemo results, so here they are:

Cat 5.4s, with the mod and using "timedemo demo1 1"
No AI: 35.4
Standard AI: 36.9
Advanced AI: 37.5

Cat 5.4s, without the mod and using "timedemo demo1 1"
No AI: 37.8
Standard AI: 43.2
Advanced AI: 43.6

Ask Humus, he was doing some workarounds in interaction.vfp for ati cards when doom3 hit the street to gain some fps.

BTW, the standard timedemo went from 61ish fps to 54ish with your mod.
