After getting lvl 60 in WoW twice I decided to give EQ another shot. I am happy I did. It's been a blast so far. Here are some pics of the brawler I made to check out Norrath from the Qeynos side.

All images are taking at 1600x1200x85hz with 2x TMAA 16x AF

CRC 2005 demo. I can finally play it with settings maxed and get pretty good framerates (that is, doesn't drop in the low 20s anymore when using HDR, etc.).

Still one of my favorites: LOTR: ROTK

here's a couple quickies from a new install of Lock-On v1.2
1280x1024 - 4xAA+8xAF - all settings on high or max (water was high, but not extreme). Click on the pic again once opened to get the true size, which looks much better without the imageshack reduced for browser aliasing effects.

Screens were taken on an Athlon x2 4800 (228x11) + 7800GTX

How is it running for you with that setup? People said it was really taxing on the hardware so I've stayed away from it but I can now get it for $19.99. That seems too good to pass up.

I've played less than an hour with the new system, but so far it runs pretty well. At times the FPS dips into the high teens, depending on how many buildings, etc are being rendered below you, but mostly its between 30-100. The 7800gtx so far seems to play this much better than the 6800gt.

Okay, that's good to hear. I guess I'll try to pick it up sometime this weekend. Thanks for the info.
