The purpose of the sub-forums is to organize subjects (items) that are very popular. Since console gaming is very popular, it only makes sense to me to devote a sub-forum to it. It's just an organization issue. That was why the source forum was created and the doom 3 forum was created. Threads on those subjects were dominating the general gaming forum.

didn't mean to cause such a stir, I realize after e3 the hype will die down...that is, until next hype. Whenever big releases like gta san adreas, halo 2, etc come out, the forum does get a bit littered imo, just thought it would be a good idea to spilt the forum into pcgaming and another with console gaming, just about every other forum I go to has this, makes things neater and easier. It's not that Joe Schmo is too lazy to go through 35 xbox 360 threads, it's just....why should he have to when he's looking for a farcry cheat?

Same can be said on the console side, if someone wants to read or post info on xbox 360/ps3 ( let's face it, we'll be seeing xbox 360/ps3 threads now until 3 months after their american/japan release, and then also, every time a game comes out, we'll get 10 "OMGroxxorz games on xbox 360/ps3 look @ teh graphics, pc gaming is dead!" to deal with as well )

To those that say this is a gaming forum and not a pcgaming forum, show me one person who comes to nvnews specifically for ps2/xbox threads....

If I were looking for a Farcry cheat I'd search " farcry " or " farcry cheat ", but that's just me. Clicking and reading top to bottom every thread for "Farcry Cheat" would bore me.

Whats with all this discrimination? Hitler would be proud and forget about a console section I vote for no sections at all or a arts and crafts section. Soon you all will want a fps section, car section, mmorpg section and a scrabble board section. Babies.
